Thiells is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Haverstraw, Rockland County, New York, United States. It was known as Thiell's Corner in the 1850s. It is situated to the north of Mount Ivy, to the east of Pomona, to the south of Tomkins Cove, and to the west of Garnerville. According to the 2010 census, the population was 5,032. During the American Revolution, Thiells was formerly known as Haverstraw Forge, and it was here that General "Mad" Anthony Wayne, commanded 1,350 Continental Army men, could keep an eye on the Stony Point region.
